Objectives

The overarching goal of this initiative was to promote and clarify the role and activities of the Performance Engineering team to stakeholders within Carnival Corporation.
This effort aimed to provide valuable insights and updates, facilitating understanding of technical projects and aligning application usage across teams.

SharePoint Website Goals:

• Central Information Hub: Establish a SharePoint website as the central repository for all PE-related projects, updates, and reports, enhancing accessibility and transparency for all stakeholders.
• Project Transparency: Share detailed updates, images, and status reports for each project undertaken by the PE team, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed of progress and developments.

Implementation:

Day One supported the design and creation of the SharePoint website, which included:

• Web Architecture: Definition of a clear and functional web architecture to ensure easy navigation and content accessibility.
• Content Development: Regular updates of sections with detailed project information, governance details, and relevant news articles.
• Training and Launch: Post-launch training for the PE team to ensure ongoing content contributions and modifications.

Neptune Mobile App Video Goal

Engagement and Awareness: Create a high-quality promotional video to showcase the features and functionalities of the Neptune Mobile app, aiming to increase engagement and understanding among internal stakeholders.

The video was crafted to:

• Highlight Key Features: Through dynamic animations and a concise narrative, the video highlighted critical functionalities like alarm awareness and monitoring capabilities.
• Creative and Technical Execution: A blend of 3D environments and 2D animations ensured a visually engaging presentation that was both informative and appealing.

System Architecture Redesign:

The goals of the activitity included:

• Enhanced Clarity and Usability: Redesign the visio system architecture to improve clarity and usability for the PE team.
• Technical Accuracy: Ensure the architecture diagrams accurately reflect the current and future enhancements of the systems.

Implementation:

Detailed Visio Diagrams: Creating comprehensive diagrams that outline each node of the system with clear enhancements and functionalities.

Business Intelligence Reports Upgrade Goals:

• Improved Data Visualization and Accessibility: Revamp BI reports to enhance readability and data visualization, facilitating quicker decision-making and better project tracking.
• Alignment with Performance Metrics: Ensure that the BI reports align with key performance metrics and operational goals of the PE team.

Neptune Monitoring Dashboard Goals:

• Improved User Experience: Enhance the user interface and user experience of the Neptune monitoring dashboard to promote easier navigation and functionality.
• Consistent Design Language: Develop a design language that aligns with Carnival’s corporate branding and enhances the overall aesthetic and operational efficiency of the dashboard.

Implementation:

The UX/UI overhaul included:

• Collaborative Design Process: Meetings with IT and development teams to align on use cases and functional requirements.
• Guideline Creation and Application: Development and application of UX/UI guidelines that cater to the specific needs of the dashboard, ensuring a seamless user experience.
